Frequently Asked Questions

A Precinct Committee Officer serves as the direct bridge between our neighborhood and the Democratic Party, ensuring our local values shape the party's platform from the ground up. They are responsible for representing our community in internal party votes, endorsing candidates, and helping neighbors stay informed and engaged during election seasons. Ultimately, a PCO works to ensure that the political system remains accountable to the people it serves by building a strong, organized community at the local level.

My husband and I chose to call Tacoma home a few years ago after a single visit when the warmth and authenticity of the city convinced us this was where we belonged. As an avid gardener and a passionate cook, I find that nourishing people is my true love language. My front-yard garden is my favorite "office" - it provides a natural space to connect with neighbors and stay grounded in the community I serve.
My professional calling is in risk management, which requires me to think through complex problems and take a data-driven approach to finding the right solution. I’ve spent the past two decades in "accountability" roles, ensuring that major corporations act responsibly to protect consumers. However, leading people is what gives me the most energy. I care deeply about ensuring my teams have balanced, fulfilling careers while remaining inspired high-performers.
I believe that effective leadership is rooted in being a good neighbor: someone who is approachable, stays curious, and is always willing to share a harvest or a meaningful conversation.

I have deep respect for those who have served our party, but I believe we need new energy to meet this political moment. My career has been about fixing broken systems and bringing people together when the stakes are high. I’m an expert at making sure every voice is heard and keeping everyone informed, which is exactly what our local party needs to grow. I’m running to be a fresh, left-leaning voice who isn't afraid to disrupt the status quo to ensure our party platform truly reflects our neighborhood’s boldest values. Voting for me means choosing a neighbor who will use open communication and collaborative leadership to build a more progressive, inclusive movement from the ground up.

I’ll stay connected to our neighborhood by meeting people where they are, rather than just waiting for someone to answer a door on a Saturday afternoon. While I love chatting with neighbors over my front-yard tomato garden, I know that traditional door-knocking often misses people with busy families or non-traditional work schedules. To ensure everyone has an equal voice, I will utilize digital community groups and neighborhood apps like Nextdoor to provide updates and gather feedback in real-time. This modern approach ensures that "acting locally" includes everyone in our precinct, allowing you to engage on your own terms and ensuring your concerns are heard by the Democratic Party year-round.

While a Precinct Committee Officer doesn’t vote on legislation in the state capitol or at City Hall, I hold a critical vote within the Democratic Party that determines which candidates earn our official endorsement and support. I believe that our party’s platform should be a reflection of our community’s needs, not a wishlist for corporate interests.
As your PCO, I will use my vote to champion and endorse candidates who treat housing, healthcare, equal rights, quality education, and a clean environment as non-negotiable human rights.
My goal is to ensure that the people we send to represent us are fully committed to these values, providing you with a direct bullhorn to shape the future of our leadership from the ground up.

As an executive leader of complex organizations, I’ve seen firsthand how a single action can create downstream reactions three or five orders of magnitude away. This perspective is why I believe the best way to survive our current political landscape is to focus on our community and strengthen the local foundations of the Democratic Party to fight back from the ground up. Because small actions at the precinct level can have a massive impact, I will use my executive experience to ensure your voice is heard as a powerful bullhorn within the party.

You can reach me anytime via the contact page. I aim to respond quickly. If I become your PCO, I will implement a means of direct contact to ensure our neighborhood’s priorities are heard and understood.
